I like to think we are a friendly easy-going group who meet each month in the Larruperz centre carpark before car-sharing (where possible) to various venues which are usually about 30 – 45 mins drive away.
We have a gentle walk for about 1.5 hours and stop to take time to look at all types of nature, from snowdrops and daffodils in the Spring to butterflies, birds, rare orchids, ponds and autumn woodlands, etc. After our walk we normally go for a coffee or light lunch somewhere nearby and are usually back in Ross by about 2.30.
If you don’t drive that isn’t a problem as there are always people to give you a lift. If people live enroute to the venue they may meet us at the venue car park a little later.
As the group coordinator, I agree an annual calendar of events with the group early in January/ February and send it out to everyone. Members then take it in turns to send out details of the walk on WhatsApp and ensure that they know who is coming to each event and if they are meeting at the Larruperz for car-sharing or going directly to the venue.
We are always open to new ideas of where we can go.
